The SkyWatcher 114N StarQuest Reflector is ideal for beginners. It offers great optics, is affordable, and easy to use. The mount has two options: Alt-Azimuth (Up/Down, Left/Right) for simple movement, or Equatorial (EQ) for better sky tracking.
It also has an optional motor to help track objects in the sky once you’re using the Equatorial mount.

- ย 114 mm Aperture: Captures plenty of light for bright, clear views of the Moon, star clusters, and some deep-sky objects like nebulae.
- 500 mm Focal Length: Ideal for wide-field observations with relatively low magnification, making it easier for beginners to locate and track objects.
- ย Equatorial (EQ) Mode: Tracks celestial objects as they move across the sky, offering smoother and more precise tracking than other mounts, though it may take some practice to align
- Lightweight and Portable: Easy to transport and set up, which is great for beginners who want simplicity and convenience.
The telescope also comes with a full tutorial through my bi-monthly star-gazing events, helping you learn how to use it and explore the night sky.
